Rosemarie L. Allaire

Professional Profile

Born in Detroit, Michigan, the home of Motown,
Ms. Allaire studied Interior Design and Dance
at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo
where the fusion of architectural and theatrical lighting sparked her interest.

Rosemarie has been enhancing environments with light since her career began in 1986. Rosemarie Allaire Lighting Design (R A L D) began in Branford, Connecticut in 1994 as her relationships with Architects, Interior Designers, Engineers, Landscape Architects, Builders, Developers and Owners of the built environment culminated in the establishment of a successful practice. With her Lighting Design Studio on the West Coast, located in Dana Point, California since 2002, R A L D has continued to creatively produce recognized and award winning projects. Ms. Allaire has been inspired by many of the talented design professionals across the country and internationally she has had the opportunity to collaborate with over her (3) decade career history.

In 2022, Rosemarie was inducted into the IES Detroit Section, Michigan Lighting Hall of Fame.
